  • How much does it cost to rent a truck?
    Our rentals start at $53 per day with a 5 day minimum and include our Standard CDW Insurance, second driver for free, and tank rack.
  • What is the shortest rental period allowed?
    The shortest rental period is 5 days.
  • What is required to reserve the truck for my vacation?
    We will need the following information to reserve your truck for you: -Flight details for arrival & departure -Copy of a valid driver’s license for all drivers -Email addresses for all drivers -Phone number where you can be reached when you are on Bonaire -Name and address of your accommodation on Bonaire
  • Is there an age limit to rent?
    All drivers need a valid driver's licence from your country of residence. If you are 23 years or older, you can rent a vehicle in Bonaire and drive our trucks.
  • Do all of your trucks come with a manual transmission (stick shift)?
    99% of our trucks have 5 or 6 speed manual transmissions. However, we now have a couple of Nissan automatic transmission 2-door trucks, as well. Be sure to ask for them specifically when you contact us.
  • What is the cancellation policy?
    We have a 15 day cancellation policy for a full refund. If you cancel 14 days prior you will be charged 50% of your rental and if you do not notify us before your rental period begins you will be charged 100%.
  • What do I need to pick up the truck?
    You need a Visa or Mastercard and a valid driver's license for all drivers from your country of residence. The driver's license must be in Romance script or translated.
  • Where do I pick up my truck?
    We will deliver your truck to you at Bonaire International Airport.
  • When is my truck due back?
    The truck is due back no later than 2 hours before your scheduled departure time or at the designated time for pick up from your rental unit.
  • What should I carry in my truck at all times?
    Make sure all rental and insurance documents remain in the glove compartment. You must always carry your driver's license with you at all times.
  • Is there a seatbelt law on Bonaire?
    Yes. Make sure you wear them at all times. Tickets start at $175.
  • Can I smoke in my rental truck?
    No. We have a strict no smoking policy inside all of our rental trucks. There is a $350 charge if the vehicle smells of smoke upon return.
  • What should I do with my key while diving, snorkeling, etc?
    Always have a waterproof casing with you if you take your key in the water. Please be advised there is a $50 charge for a regular key and $200 for an electronic key due to damage or loss.
  • What is the charge for a lost key?
    We charge $25 for a regular key and $100 for an electronic key.
  • Is a baby seat free of charge?
    Yes, a baby seat is free of charge.
  • Does my truck rental include a tank rack for diving?
    Yes, we include a tank rack with all rentals. Please let us know if you don't need one.
  • Is it okay to take the truck to dive, snorkel, kitesurf, or windsurf?"
    Of course! We ask that you please dry off before getting in the truck and put a towel on your seat. Please be advised there will be a $250 charge for excessive saltwater and/or sand in the vehicle upon return.
  • What should I do with the truck when I go snorkeling or diving?
    Roll all windows down and unlock the truck. Do not leave valuables in the truck. Please leave all phones, wallets, cameras etc., in your accomodation or keep on your person.
  • What do I do if I see donkeys or goats on the road?
    Be respectful and always yield to the local wildlife.
  • What if the truck breaks down or I have a flat?
    Each truck is provided with a spare tire and the necessary tools to change a flat. In case of a flat or damaged tire you are responsible for repairing and/or replacing it. Please do not drive on a flat tire as you will damage the rim. If the truck breaks down (or to notify us of any problems) please call us at 599 782.5699 as soon as possible, and we will have someone out to help you.
  • What should I do if I have an accident?
    In case of an accident you must notify the Bonaire Police Department immediately (phone: 599 717.8000) and Bonaire Security Force (phone: 599 717.9292) and Bonaire Truck Rental (599 782.5699). Please do not move the vehicle. All insurance policies are voided if the above instructions are not followed.
  • What is the easiest way to make calls on the island?
    Download WhatsApp to your mobile phone. It will work on wifi anywhere on Bonaire.
  • Do I receive a refund if I return the truck earlier?
    No. The truck has been rented for those days and therefore unvavailable to other customers.
  • How do I return the truck?
    Pull into the airport and leave the truck in the short term parking (directly in front of the terminal). Please make sure you have filled the gas tank to full and leave the parking ticket and keys in the glove compartment.
  • What are the Terms and Conditions of your Rental Agreement?
    · If the SUPER C.D.W. (Super Collision Damage Waiver) is accepted, renter’s responsibility for damage is limited to $100.00 on the rented vehicle and it covers vandalism, theft and at fault. · When the Super CDW is not accepted, renter will be fully liable for the damage up to $500 as per our Standard C.D.W. (Collision Damage Waiver) and it DOES NOT cover vandalism, theft or at fault · If an accident and/or damage has been caused due to a traffic violation, i.e., driving faster than the law permits, entering places with unpaved and muddy areas, areas where there are marks for not entering etc., all insurance will be automatically declined (be it CDW or Super CDW) and the renter will be fully responsible for all the costs of the damage caused, including towing etc., to the rented vehicle. If the vehicle is damaged due to driver error, vandalism, or stolen the renter will be responsible for the full amount with the Standard C.D.W. · If you are driving while impaired all insurance is null and void and you will be held responsible for the damage caused in full. · Each truck is provided with a spare tire and the necessary tools. In case of a flat tire or damaged tire, the renter is responsible for repairing and/or replacing of this tire. Do not drive on a flat tire. · The rental truck should be returned with a full tank of Super Unleaded gas. · If this amount is less than a full tank, we will charge the difference and deduct it from the deposit – there will be an additional $100 charge PLUS the cost of the gas, as well. · In case the wrong fuel was used i.e., Diesel instead of Super Unleaded, the cost of the gas and cleaning the fuel line and gas tank will be charged to the renter. Charge: $ 350.00 – No refund on gasoline or diesel will be given. · When renter leaves the truck, it should be left unlocked at all times. · In case of a car accident/theft/joyriding/vandalism, renter must notify the Police Department IMMEDIATELY (phone: 599 717.8000 or 911) and Bonaire Security Force (phone: 599 717.9292) and Bonaire Truck Rental (599 782.5699). Do not move the vehicle. · Police & B.S.F reports are required. If the police and the B.S.F are not notified immediately, the insurance protection is voided, and renter will be responsible for the full value of the damage. · If the car keys and/or remote control (if applicable) of the rented vehicle are lost, a $200 fee will be charged for an electronic key and $50 for a regular key. · If keys are locked in the truck, a charge of $50.00 will be added to the rental agreement for unlocking the truck. · It is not allowed to smoke in Bonaire Truck Rental vehicles. · A cleaning fee of $350.00 will be deducted from your deposit if traces of smoke are detected. · Driving in the National Park Washington/Slagbaai is entirely at your own risk. · Misusing and/or abusive use of rented vehicle will result in an additional charge of $350.00 on your rental agreement. · It’s not allowed to carry people in the bed of the truck. Insurance will not cover accidents that occur when violating this rule. · The truck is due back no later than 2 hours before your scheduled departure time or at the designated time for pick up from your rental unit. · Also, excessive saltwater and/or sand, wet dive suits & gear, wet clothing in the vehicle will result in an additional charge of $250.00 on your rental agreement as a penalty and be deducted from your deposit.
